Yakutia's Education Sector Shakes Up Leadership with New Appointment
Aisen Nikolaev, the head of Yakutia, has made a significant personnel move in the education sector by appointing Nyurgun Pavlov as the first deputy minister of education and science.
Nyurgun Pavlov, a distinguished educator and candidate of pedagogical sciences, is well-known for his achievements in Yakutia’s education sector. He was honored with the "Hope of Yakutia" badge in 2013 and received a grant from the republic’s leader in 2016, underscoring his excellence as an educator.
Having graduated from the Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University in 2010, Nyurgun Pavlov began his career as an organizer of children's movements in the Mountain District. He then transitioned to teaching mathematics at the S.P. Danilov School in Berdigestyakh.
In 2019, Pavlov was promoted to deputy director of the S.N. Donish Institute of Education Development and Advanced Training - II, before assuming the directorship in 2020. As head of the institute, he has been instrumental in its efforts to improve education quality, enhance teacher training, and advance educational practices within the Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
Pavlov’s role as director encompasses guiding the institute’s initiatives aimed at advancing educational standards, supporting educators in adapting to modern teaching methods, and developing innovative educational programs.
