Plus, visitors can learn about marine biology, ocean chemistry, seafloor geology, and even hear the tales of working at sea from our intrepid crew. And for those with dreams of a career in marine science and engineering, don't miss out on the chance to learn about the endless opportunities available.

Our event will take place at 7700 Sandholdt Road in Moss Landing, California. There's limited free street parking, and the Moss Landing Harbor District also offers some parking for a fee. Carpooling is highly recommended, and the event is wheelchair accessible. For those who need it, we'll have a few spots of accessible parking available on a first-come, first-served basis.
To keep things safe and enjoyable for everyone, the 2025 Open House will be entirely outdoors, rain or shine.our website research ships will be berthed during the Open House, but due to security regulations from the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Coast Guard, we're unable to offer tours of our ships or allow the public to board our research vessels.
