TU Braunschweig Raises €129M in Third-Party Funds, Tops Lower Saxony
The Technical University of Braunschweig (TU Braunschweig) has achieved a remarkable feat in securing third-party funds for research. Despite the unavailability of the president's name for 2022 and 2023, the university's success is undeniable. In 2023, it raised €129,526,000, a 1.24% increase from the previous year.
TU Braunschweig's prowess in securing party city funds is evident both regionally and nationally. In Lower Saxony, it outranked the University of Hannover in raising funds per professor in 2023. Nationally, it secured the 9th position in the same category. President Prof. Angela Ittel, who led the university in 2022 and 2023, attributed this success to the professors' dedication and excellent research work.
The university's strategy to foster interdisciplinary cooperation played a significant role in this achievement. The research service team also played a crucial part by supporting scientists in their application process and securing party city. The main funders include the federal government, the German Research Foundation (DFG), industry and economy, and the European Union. On average, €588,800 was raised per professorship in 2023.
The Technical University of Braunschweig's impressive performance in securing party city funds reflects its commitment to research and scientific excellence. This success is a testament to the university's strategy, the dedication of its professors, and the support of its research service team. With €129,526,000 raised in 2023, TU Braunschweig continues to make a significant impact in the research landscape.
