Training Facility in Romania Expands with PepsiCo's USD 137,000 Investment for Employee and Student Development
Step into the future of learning with PepsiCo's brand-new Training Center at their East Balkans beverage plant in Dragomirești-Deal, Romania! Blending innovation and practicality, this state-of-the-art facility sets the stage for the education and development of employees and students alike.
Sporting cutting-edge technology, the Training Center offers a unique hands-on experience in soft drink production. Employees and technical students can dip their toes into production and maintenance processes, all under one roof and in a secure environment.
Kicking off this month, the program is geared towards upskilling employees at PepsiCo East Balkans plants, transforming them into internal trainers.
Capable of accommodating up to 20 trainees at a time, the Training Center houses a plethora of mechanical, electronic, and pneumatic systems, plus a mini robot for simulating production processes.
But that's not all! Future industry professionals from the National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest's Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics will also have the opportunity to partake in separate laboratory sessions at the PepsiCo Training Center.
Silvia Petre, HR Director of PepsiCo East Balkans, says, "Our goal is to offer a highly practical learning experience, providing both our colleagues and future industry specialists with the chance to experiment and learn directly on real equipment in a safe environment."
Alongside this investment in education, PepsiCo has blown new life into the Dragomirești-Deal plant with a USD 13 million, fully automated production line. This revolutionary upgrade has boosted production capacity while slashing energy and water consumption.
PepsiCo's 30-year journey in Romania has seen a staggering USD 320 million investment in the country over the past decade, solidifying its status as a regional production and distribution powerhouse.
