Tomsk Region Launches Governor's Literary Award 2025
The Tomsk region has opened submissions for the Governor's Literary Award, with applications accepted until November 1. Authors aged 18 and above, residing in the region, can participate in two categories: 'Prose' and 'Poetry'.
The 'Prose' category welcomes novels, novellas, and short story collections of at least ten author's sheets (400,000 characters). Works of fiction and historical-regional studies published or prepared for print between January 1, 2024, and October 1, 2025, are eligible. Each author can enter only one category.
The 'Poetry' category accepts poetry collections of at least 100 pages. Applications and works can be submitted via email to the House of Arts. The jury, chaired by local literary experts and cultural figures, will evaluate the submissions.
The Governor's Literary Award aims to support regional literature. The winning prize must be used to publish a book in a print run of at least 100 copies within a year. The House of Arts, in collaboration with the Tomsk Regional Branch of the Union of Russian Writers, and with the support of the regional Department of Culture, oversees the award.
