Announcing the AILET 2026 Exam Dates and Application Process

The National Law University (NLU) Delhi has announced the dates for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2026. This exam is for admission to BA LLB (Hons), LL.M, and other postgraduate programmes at NLU Delhi.

Key Dates for AILET 2026:

  • Registration Start: August 7, 2025
  • Registration Close: November 10, 2025
  • Exam Date: December 14, 2025, from 2 PM to 4 PM
  • Notification Release: July 23, 2025 (official revised notification)

For other postgraduate programmes like the Postgraduate Insolvency Programme, Joint Master's/LL.M in Intellectual Property Law and Management, and Ph.D. programmes, the All-India Entrance Test (AIET) will be held on May 3, 2026, with applications opening on January 7, 2026.

Application Process for AILET 2026:

The AILET 2026 application form will be available online on the official NLU Delhi website: nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. Candidates must upload their photo and signature, then fill out the online form. The process includes registration, form filling, uploading required documents, and paying the application fee. The application window runs from August 7 to November 10, 2025.

Exam Details:

The AILET exam is conducted in online mode at designated centres across India. The exam is for admission to five-year BA LLB (Hons) and one-year LL.M courses. The AILET 2026 exam duration is 2 hours.

Please note that the AIET is not related to the B.A LL.B. (Hons) and LL.M programs as mentioned in the AILET 2026. The AIET is scheduled for the Joint Master's/LL.M in Intellectual Property (IP) Law and Management, Postgraduate Insolvency Programme, and Ph.D. programme.

The AILET 2026 was rescheduled from December 7, 2025, to a new date due to a conflict with CLAT 2026. A detailed notification for AILET 2026 will be issued shortly.
