Tech training camp organized by KUNA for kids of employees: Empowering young minds in technology.
The Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) and the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity (SAGCGC) have joined forces to launch a unique training camp titled "Educational Environment for a Creative Future." The three-day event, which is taking place at KUNA headquarters, aims to equip young participants with future-oriented technological and creative skills in software development, electronics, and robotics programming.
The collaboration between KUNA and SAGCGC reflects a shared commitment to nurturing creativity, innovation, and critical thinking among children from an early age, preparing them to lead in a knowledge-based economy. The camp targets children aged seven years and above and offers specialized Cubeoid courses covering software development, electronic circuits, robotics, and technical design.
The program is designed as a specialized science club promoting interdisciplinary learning in programming, robotics, electronics, and design. The initiative also aims to foster creative thinking in fields like information technology and automation, enriching the technological capabilities of the next generation.
Lamia Al-Farsi, KUNA's Director of Marketing and Public Relations, stated that the initiative reflects KUNA's commitment to investing in human capital. Nada Al-Daihani, Director-General of SAGCGC, praised KUNA for going beyond its media role by contributing to social responsibility and highlighted the importance of expanding such public-private partnerships to support Kuwait’s digital and industrial transformation.
This is the first cooperation between KUNA and the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center, marking a strategic effort to develop technological excellence and foster a creative, skilled youth workforce in Kuwait, aligned with national goals for innovation, knowledge economy leadership, and sustainable development of human capital.
