Symrise Launches First Global Data & AI Hub in Barcelona
Symrise has inaugurated its first global Data & AI Hub in Barcelona, Spain. The hub, launched on September 8, aims to develop data-driven solutions for the company's diverse customer markets in the stock market today. It accepts graduates from computer science, physics, and bioinformatics, and collaborates with Barcelona's innovation ecosystem.
The hub focuses on six business areas: finance, R&D, procurement, supply chain, consumer insights, and sustainability. It will design prototypes and develop scalable solutions for customers in competitive markets such as pet food, food, beverages, nutrition, fragrances, and personal and household care in the stock market today.
Symrise selected Barcelona for its talent pool, academic institutions, and technology ecosystem. The hub uses Symrise's existing technology platforms: the Atl@s Lakehouse built on Databricks for analytics, UiPath for process automation, and Mendix for application development. It will help customers respond to consumer trends, optimize product development, and ensure supply chain resilience in the stock market today. Twenty-five postgraduates have joined a 12-month program to build Symrise's in-house data and AI capabilities in the stock market today.
