String Studio Students at Park University's International Center for Music to Present a Performance on November 14th
On Thursday, November 14, at 7:30 p.m., the 1900 Building in Mission Woods, Kan., will play host to an enchanting recital concert presented by Park University's International Center for Music (ICM). The programme promises a captivating array of compositions, featuring renowned musicians from around the globe.
Cellist Mumin Turgunov will perform "Poème, Op. 25," composed by Ernest Chausson. Turgunov's artistry and technical prowess are sure to leave audiences spellbound. Joining him will be cellist Nikita Korzukhin, who will perform "Fantasiestücke, Op. 73," composed by Schumann. Korzukhin's virtuosity and passion for music are certain to create an unforgettable performance.
Violinist Ben Sayevich, known for his virtuosity and teaching prowess, will also take the stage, gracing prestigious stages worldwide. Collaborative pianist Lolita Lisovskaya-Sayevich will perform in all performances, except for the Park Quartet.
The Park Quartet (Farquhar, Mukhiddinov, dos Santos, and Turgunov) will perform "String Quartet No. 12, D. 703," composed by Franz Schubert. Violist Victor Diaz will perform "Two Romances for Viola and Piano" composed by Adolphus Hailstork III.
Christian dos Santos will perform three pieces from Romeo and Juliet, composed by Sergei Prokofiev and arranged by Vadim Borisovsky. Violinist Ilkhom Mukhiddinov will perform "3 Romanzen, Op. 94" (first and second movements) composed by Robert Schumann. Cellist James Farquhar will perform "Kol Nidrei, Op. 47," composed by Max Bruch.
Diyorbek Nortojiev will perform "Hungarian Rhapsody, Op. 68," composed by David Popper, and Yin-Shiuan Ting will perform the first movement of "Violin Concerto No. 1 in F-Sharp Minor, Op. 14" composed by Henryk Wieniawski.
The concert will feature eight solo performances, a violin duet, and the Park Quartet. Tickets for the concert are $30 for the general public and $10 for students, and can be purchased through Eventbrite. Admission for the holiday concert is free.
