Stascheit moves to POLITICO

Maximilian Stascheit Joins POLITICO's Berlin Playbook Team

Maximilian Stascheit is set to join the Berlin Playbook Team at POLITICO on November 1, 2025. In his new role as a reporter, Stascheit will be covering topics such as the SPD (Social Democratic Party of Germany), family and education issues, and digital topics.

Stascheit brings a wealth of journalistic experience to POLITICO, having previously served as a news manager at The Pioneer. Before that, he received training at the Axel Springer Academy, a renowned journalism school.

The Berlin Playbook Team at POLITICO is growing with the addition of Stascheit. He will be working alongside Gordon Repinski, Executive Editor of POLITICO Germany. The Berlin Playbook is POLITICO’s flagship daily newsletter launched in Germany in early 2024.

Stascheit is switching from Table Media, where he was working at Table.Briefings. His new role at POLITICO does not involve serving as a news manager.

The Berlin Playbook Team at POLITICO is expanding with the addition of Stascheit. His expertise in covering political affairs, family and education issues, and digital topics will undoubtedly be an asset to the team.
