School Fair in Aschaffenburg promoting Fairtrade
The City of Aschaffenburg is hosting an educational event, the Aschaffenburg Fairtrade Day for Schools, on October 31, 2025, at Martinushaus, Treibgasse 26. This event, open to students from all school types in the city and district of Aschaffenburg, promises to be an enlightening day filled with workshops and discussions that delve into important global issues.
The program for the day includes workshops addressing questions about the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the relationship between delicious chocolate and environmental damage, the distribution of the world's population and income, and the ongoing effects of colonialism. These topics are designed to spark curiosity and encourage critical thinking among the participants.
Interested schools can learn about the "Fairtrade School" campaign at the event. Participation in the event does not require the school to be a Fairtrade School already. Up to eight students and two teachers per school can participate, with a maximum of approximately 150 students.
The event will take place from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Registration for the event can be done via email: [email protected]. The deadline for registration is fast approaching, on October 24, 2025.
The website www.worldshop-our-website/fairtrade-schools provides the program and individual workshop details for the Aschaffenburg Fairtrade Day for Schools. The day also includes an exchange round for teachers, networking opportunities, and the presentation of new ideas for school engagement.
