Saudi Alumni Forum Kicks Off in Abuja to Drive African Development

The Forum for Graduates of Saudi Universities in Nigeria and Neighboring Countries, kicking off on Monday in Abuja, brings together alumni from Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon, Gabon, and other nations under the patronage of Saudi universities. This event aims to showcase educational diplomacy and the transformative power of Saudi alumni in shaping their communities' futures.

The forum will highlight various initiatives, including 'Cattle Fattening Projects' for food security and rural development, as well as educational efforts in Quran memorization and teacher training. Participants will discuss their roles in advancing sustainability through dialogue sessions and presentations. Academic experts from Nigeria and Saudi Arabia will share insights on leveraging higher education for community and national transformation.

Models of success will be showcased, such as the 'Cooperative Microfinance Window' for supporting small businesses and boosting economic resilience. The forum is described as a strategic platform for idea exchange, institutional collaboration, and alignment with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. It emphasizes Saudi Arabia's commitment to human development across West and Central Africa, strengthening Saudi-African ties in education, innovation, and social progress.
