Russia's 'Country of Opportunities' Award Returns for 2023
The new season of the 'Russia - Country of Opportunities' award has kicked off, inviting residents across the nation to participate. This prestigious event, now in its second year, aims to recognize and support individuals making a difference in key areas of societal and national development. With ten nominations covering service, ecology, sports, science, entrepreneurship, and more, the award seeks to foster a community of like-minded individuals.
The age range for participants is wide, with the youngest nominee this year being 21-year-old Nikita Tolstov from Astrakhan. He impressed with his agrotech startup and eco-friendly packaging innovations. Meanwhile, the oldest participant was 69-year-old Ivan Sanzharov, who established cedar nurseries in five regions of Russia. Both represent the diverse talent and dedication that the award aims to celebrate.
Residents of Sverdlovsk, aged 18 and above, can join the competition by registering on the official website until October 16. Successful participants can look forward to educational courses, special offers from partners, media promotion, and career opportunities. The selection process involves filling out a questionnaire and taking tests, followed by evaluation from federal experts and public voting.
Last year's edition saw over 33,000 applicants from 89 regions of Russia and 27 countries, with 100 finalists selected from 37 regions. This season, a new nomination 'Region of Opportunities' has been added, with winners receiving media support and the status of territories that create opportunities for residents.
Governor Denis Pasler of Sverdlovsk region is actively supporting the initiatives of young Ural residents, demonstrating the award's commitment to regional development and leadership. With a broad range of nominations and opportunities for growth, the 'Russia - Country of Opportunities' award continues to inspire and empower individuals to make a positive impact on their communities and the nation as a whole.
