RPNLU wraps up student orientation process for the class of 2025
Justice Rajendra Menon Gracefully Addresses Student Induction at RPNLU, Prayagraj
The Dr Rajendra Prasad National Law University (RPNLU), Prayagraj, concluded its weeklong Student Induction Programme on August 6, 2025, with a powerful valedictory session. The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Justice Rajendra Menon, the Chairperson of the Armed Forces Tribunal and former Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court.
Justice Menon, known for his distinguished legal background, delivered an impactful address, reflecting on the remarkable growth in women's participation in the legal profession. He underscored the importance of reading, understanding case facts, and developing sound judgment.
Vice Chancellor of RPNLU, Senior Prof (Dr) Usha Tandon, welcomed the dignitaries and the new batch of students. She noted with pride the high percentage of girls in the new batch, calling it a "powerful testament to the evolving landscape of legal education."
Prof Tandon emphasized the university's commitment to holistic legal education and excellence. The orientation program included faculty-student interactions, library familiarization, outreach visits, wellness sessions, and society orientations. Students were engaged in cognitive enrichment sessions, mental wellness workshops, and were introduced to various student societies such as Moot Court, Legal Aid, and Debate Committees.
Justice Menon's engagement in the academic induction program reflects his commitment to shaping the future legal community. Beyond supporting legal education, he has imparted practical legal insights at induction events, encouraging students to embrace thorough internships and continuous learning to succeed as lawyers.
Prof Deepak Sharma, Head of the Department of Law at RPNLU, concluded the valedictory session. He gave a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the presence and contributions of the distinguished guests.
The valedictory session served as a beginning to a transformative journey in law for the students. RPNLU Prayagraj, referred to by Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, Prof (Dr) Anju Vali Tikoo as Sangam City, a confluence of aspirations and changemakers, reinforced its commitment to nurturing legal professionals. Prof Tikoo, the Guest of Honour at the Valedictory Session, invoked the inspiring life of Dr. Rajendra Prasad and urged students to embody values of justice, social sensitivity, and humanity.
Assistant Professor Dr Neha Dubey presented an overview of the orientation program at RPNLU Prayagraj. The Student Induction Programme at RPNLU was a weeklong event that included a range of academic, cultural, and developmental activities. This event marks a significant step in the lives of the new students, as they embark on their journey towards becoming future legal professionals.
