Police Engaging in Second "Dialogue Between Police and School" Event within South Hesse Police Precinct's Jurisdiction

On September 8, 2025, the Edith-Stein School in Offenbach hosted the 'Cops in Dialogue - Police and School in Exchange' event, a dialogue initiative aimed at fostering mutual understanding between young people and the police. This event was part of the Hessian state government's 'Respect Package', a comprehensive program designed to acknowledge outstanding performance, better equip emergency forces, and increase visibility and appreciation among citizens.

The South East Hesse Police Headquarters, located at Spessartring 61, 63071 Offenbach am Main, expressed their gratitude to the school for hosting the event. Around 100 students from grades 7 and 10 participated, making for an engaging and interactive day.

The event was organized and accompanied by Björn Ritz, the youth coordinator of the Offenbach Police Directorate. Marc Göbel, director of the Offenbach Police Directorate, was also present and spoke about the everyday tasks of police officers and the importance of respectful interaction.

Shkelqim Maloku from the Offenbach Police Station presented his daily work, emphasizing the importance of communication in police work. Young police officers Abdullah Yigit and Halim Qadari, as migration officers, informed the students about their work. Jennifer Mlotek and Christopher Wenzel, recruitment advisors of the South East Hesse Police, shared their perspectives and were available to answer the students' questions.

Marc Göbel, head of the Polizeidirektion Offenbach, highlighted various aspects of police work and the values and rules that the police embodies. The officers engaged in conversations with citizens in public places throughout Hesse as part of the 'Cops in Dialogue - Police and School in Exchange' format, which is conducted by the Hessian Police in various schools across the state.

School principal Salvatore Caruso welcomed all present and emphasized the importance of open dialogue between school and police.
