Park University will be organizing its Yearly International Festival on November 22nd
Get ready for an exciting cultural extravaganza at Park University's International Festival, scheduled for Nov. 22, 2024. This event is a significant part of the University's International Education Week, a nationwide celebration promoting international education and exchange.
The festival kicks off at the Mabee Learning Center/Academic Underground from 5 to 7 p.m., where you can immerse yourself in a variety of information booths and cultural activities. Park students and employees on a meal plan can enjoy free food during this time, making it a perfect opportunity to learn and dine.
From 5 to 6:30 p.m., an international buffet will be served, offering a taste of various cuisines from around the world. For those not on a meal plan, the price is set at $16.
At 7:30 p.m., the event moves to the Graham Tyler Memorial Chapel for a fashion show and cultural performances. Expect captivating performances from Park University's International Center for Music students, who will showcase unique and diverse characteristics of their homeland. Additionally, Three Trails Taiko, a Kansas City area organization, will perform, adding an extra layer of cultural richness to the evening.
Each country at the festival will be represented by international students from Park University. Among the participating countries are the Bahamas, Bangladesh, Gambia, Ghana, Nigeria, Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Zimbabwe.
Admission to the festival is free and open to the public, making it an event not to be missed. The festival will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. on the Parkville Campus.
