Park University Elevates Biles to Senior Position in Communications and Public Relations Department
Park University's Senior Director of Communications and Public Relations, Brad Biles
Brad Biles has been leading the communications and public relations efforts at Park University since his promotion to Senior Director in July 2025. With over a decade of experience at the institution, Biles has been instrumental in shaping the university's communications, media relations, public relations, and brand marketing strategies.
Before his promotion, Biles served as the Director of Communications and Public Relations for nine years. His tenure at Park University began in 2007, where he started as the Communications Coordinator. He later moved up to the role of Associate Director of University Communications.
Biles' leadership has been recognised by the Greater Kansas City Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). In 2022, Park University's Office of Strategic Communications, under Biles' leadership, was named the Public Relations Team of the Year. His work has also earned him five PRISM awards from the same organisation.
Biles' responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day communications operations at Park University and leading the University's creative and digital content team. He ensures that all print, digital, and public-facing materials align with Park University's brand standards and strategic goals.
As the primary media contact, Biles serves as the point of contact for news media. He is also a longtime staff volunteer for the American Legion Boys State of Kansas, serving as its media relations/public relations director. In 2019, he was honoured as the Advisor of the Year by the organisation.
Prior to joining Park University, Biles worked in news media organisations, including the Kansas City Star, KCTV, KOAM-TV, and the Bonner Springs (Kan.) Chieftain / Basehor (Kan.) Sentinel. He also worked as an editor with Ascend Media from 2004 to 2007. Biles earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Pittsburg (Kan.) State University.
With his extensive background in communications and editorial work, Biles brings a wealth of experience to his role at Park University. His dedication to the institution and his commitment to excellence have made him a valued member of the Park University community.
