On the vibrant occasion of Park University's Homecoming Weekend 2021, held on October 2, the university celebrated the selection of its homecoming royalty. The event, which took place during halftime of the men's soccer match against Mount Mercy University, saw students from various majors and backgrounds being crowned.

The selection process was based on voting by the student body, ensuring a fair and democratic choice. The homecoming royalty for 2021 consisted of juniors and seniors, showcasing the university's diverse and accomplished student body.

In the junior category, Kai Yim, a nursing major, was selected as prince, while Bayan Salam, a senior majoring in criminal justice administration/law enforcement and psychology, was announced as queen. Demetria Byers, another junior majoring in criminal justice administration/law enforcement, was chosen as princess, and DiCarlo Jackson Jr., a senior biology major, was crowned king.

The freshman class was also represented in the homecoming royalty. Kaben Lentzner, a freshman business administration/management major from Kaufman, Texas, was selected as male freshman royalty. Destiny Marshall, a freshman sports and exercise science/health promotion major from Kansas City, Missouri, was chosen as female freshman royalty. Interestingly, both Kaben and Destiny hail from different states.

The sophomore class was equally diverse. Andres Yost Castillo, a sophomore business administration/marketing major from Antofagasta, Chile, was selected as male sophomore royalty, while Isabela Ribeiro da Silva, a sophomore business administration/corporate financial management major from São Jose dos Campos, Brazil, was chosen as female sophomore royalty. Andres and Isabela both come from different majors and countries, adding to the international flavour of the homecoming royalty.

This event not only celebrated the achievements of these students but also fostered a sense of unity and camaraderie among the Park University community.

During the festive event, the students' interests in education-and-self-development were showcased, as Kai Yim, a nursing major, and Demetria Byers, a criminal justice administration/law enforcement major, were part of the homecoming royalty.
