Palestine Welcomes Growing International Recognition, Calls for Swedish, EU Support
Palestinian officials have welcomed the growing international recognition of Palestine as a state. They have called on Sweden and the EU to boost support for Palestinian authorities and resume aid to UNRWA. The Social Democratic Party in Sweden has urged the government to increase support for Palestinian autonomy and reconsider trade agreements with Israel.

Furthermore, they have proposed freezing trade agreements with Israel and imposing sanctions on extreme settlers and ministers.
