New NCERT Textbooks for Class 10 in All Subjects for the Academic Year 2025-2026 (Revised Version)
The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has announced that the revised textbooks for Class 10, which were introduced in the 2022-23 academic year, will continue to be used for the 2025-26 session. These textbooks, officially prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and widely followed by most state boards across India, have been designed to streamline the learning process and reduce academic burden for students.
The syllabus rationalisation, a nationwide effort initiated during the COVID-19 pandemic, aimed to simplify content, remove overlaps, and focus on core conceptual understanding to reduce student stress and enhance learning outcomes. This initiative was implemented across subjects such as Mathematics, Science, Social Science, English, and Hindi for both Classes 9 and 10.
For the 2025-26 session, the NCERT textbooks remain largely aligned with these rationalised syllabi. The curriculum emphasises conceptual clarity, application-based learning, and internal assessments such as projects and practical work. New exam patterns incorporating multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and stepwise marking schemes have been introduced to improve comprehension evaluation.
Subject-wise textbooks follow the revised templates issued in 2022-23. For example, the Mathematics textbook streamlines chapters with a focus on core areas like Number Systems, Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics. The Science textbook integrates Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, maintaining essential concepts while reducing theory content and increasing practical experiments.
The Social Science textbook rationalises topics in History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics, focusing on relevant contemporary and foundational themes. The English textbook has been revised to include value-based and skill-oriented content along with rationalised chapters. The Hindi textbook focuses on language skills, grammar, and selected literature.
In addition to the textbooks, students can download the latest NCERT Books for Class 10 in PDF format for all subjects and in multiple languages. The NCERT Solutions for Class 10 All Subjects (PDF) are also available for download. Students can check the list of rationalised content or the deleted parts of NCERT books to avoid studying outdated topics.
Online Mock Tests and Video Lectures for CBSE Class 10 are available to help students prepare effectively for their exams. The chapter-wise PDFs for NCERT Class 10 Maths, Science, Social Science, Hindi, and English are available for download.
The NCERT books, designed by experts and updated to reflect the latest educational trends, are essential for effective exam preparation. These changes have been retained for the 2025-26 session as well, aiming to provide students with a comprehensive and simplified learning experience.
