Maths Conference 2025: Innovative Teaching Methods for the Future
On September 25, 2025, the Technical University of Brunswick hosts 'Mathematics for the School of Tomorrow', a conference focusing on innovative teaching methods. The event, organized by the Lower Saxony Learning Center (NLC) and the Competence Center for Teacher Training (KLBS), is accredited as a full-day training course.
The conference features keynote speeches by Prof. Dr. Matthias Ludwig and Prof. Dr. Hans-Stefan Siller. Ludwig, in 'Doing mathematics outdoors', explores integrating out-of-classroom experiences into daily school life. Siller's speech, 'Mathematics for the future', connects modeling, AI, and sustainability, helping students engage with real-world problems.
The German ISTRON group, advocating reality-based mathematics teaching, is involved. The conference addresses using Artificial Intelligence in classrooms and how mathematics can foster students' personality development and understanding of sustainable development. Various practical workshops, led by instructors like Nils Buchholtz and Alina Alwast, will provide ideas for a future-oriented mathematics classroom.
The Mathematics Conference at Technische Universität Braunschweig brings together educators to discuss and share innovative teaching methods. With a focus on technology, sustainability, and real-world connections, the conference aims to equip teachers with practical ideas for a future-oriented mathematics classroom.
