Kamchatka Launches New Digital Literacy Project for Schoolchildren

A new phase of the nationwide 'Digital Literacy' project has kicked off in Kamchatka, organized by the Ministry of Digital Development, Education and Science of the Russian Federation and ANO 'Digital Economy'. Children in the region can now access educational materials on digital-literacy.ru until February 2.

The platform offers videos and methodological materials tailored for children aged six and above. These resources were created with the help of leading IT companies like 'Avito' and 'Kaspersky Lab'.

The project aims to promote digital literacy among schoolchildren and their parents. Lessons cover safe internet use, online shopping, and finding part-time jobs online. They include engaging videos, interactive assignments, and practical recommendations.

The digital-literacy platform was developed with the support of the Hochschulforum Digitalisierung (HFD), a think tank involving stakeholders from universities, politics, business, and society. It is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMFTR) and collaborates with organizations like the Deutsche Telekom Stiftung, Dieter Schwarz Stiftung, and Wübben Stiftung Bildung on related digital education projects.

The 'Digital Literacy' project in Kamchatka is providing children with essential digital security and literacy skills. With the help of leading IT companies and supportive organizations, the project aims to empower both children and their parents with the knowledge needed to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.
