Janusz Korczak Foundation Launches Art Scholarship at HfK Bremen
The Janusz Korczak Foundation Bremen (JKSB) has launched the Korczak scholarship at the University of the Arts Bremen (HfK) since 2025. The scholarship, awarded annually, supports final semester students in art, design, and music fields. The next application phase begins in April 2026.
The JKSB, established in 2012 to support young people's professional and educational development, has been supporting equal opportunities at HfK through the Korczak scholarship since last year. The scholarship provides up to 800 euros per month, allowing recipients to focus more intensively on their studies.
The first Korczak scholarships were awarded in the spring of 2025 to eight committed students. The recipients were Xinyue Feng, Kira Ronja Häring, Yan Xing Lee, Nikolas Divall Archer Rejto, Leon Sahiti, Polet Silva Lorca, Abdulghaffar Tammaa, and Charlotte Uekermann. The foundation selected these students based on social aspects and commitment, from around 60 applications reviewed by a selection committee.
The Korczak scholarship aims to strengthen self-determination and equal opportunities. The next application phase begins in April 2026, offering final semester students in art, design, and music the chance to receive up to 800 euros per month.
