IB Security Assistant Eligibility Guidelines for 2025: Examine Age Restrictions, Educational Prerequisites, and Residency Conditions

Age Limit
Candidates must be between 18 and 27 years of age as of 17th August 2025. Age relaxation is applicable for certain categories as per government norms:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- Central Govt. Civilian Employees (with 3+ years service): up to 40 years
- Widows/Divorced Women vary from 35 to 40 years depending on category
- Ex-Servicemen: As per government rules
- Meritorious Sportspersons: Up to 5 years
Educational Qualifications
Candidates must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) or equivalent from a recognized board of education.
Domicile Requirements
Applicants are required to possess a domicile certificate of the state or union territory from which they are applying, ensuring region-specific recruitment.
Local Language Proficiency
Candidates must have proficiency in one of the local languages or dialects mentioned in the official notification corresponding to the state or region they intend to apply from.
Nationality
The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
These criteria are designed to recruit candidates who are suitably qualified, regionally aligned by domicile and language, and fall within the prescribed age limits including applicable relaxations.
It is important to note that candidates are not restricted in the number of attempts for the IB Security Assistant exam. Widows/Divorced Women from UR category can apply up to 35 years of age.

The IB Security Assistant/Executive post is open for ex-Servicemen according to Government Rules. Widows/Divorced Women from OBC category can apply up to 38 years of age, while those from SC/ST category can apply up to 40 years of age.
