The Indian Air Force (IAF) has extended the registration deadline for the Agniveer Vayu recruitment 2025 to 4th August, 2025. The recruitment process is divided into two categories: Science and Non-Science.
To be eligible, candidates must be aged between 17.5 and 21 years, specifically born between July 2, 2005, and January 2, 2009. For the Non-Science category, candidates must have scored at least 50 per cent marks in Class 12 in any stream and 50 per cent marks in English. For the Science category, candidates must have passed Class 12 with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate, with Mathematics, Physics, and English as subjects.
Candidates with a three-year engineering diploma in specific fields with a minimum of 50 per cent marks are also eligible, provided they have scored at least 50 per cent in English. Those who have completed a two-year vocational course with a minimum of 50 per cent marks are also eligible to apply.
The selection process consists of four stages: a written examination, a physical fitness test, document verification, and a medical examination. The written test is scheduled to begin from September 25, 2025, onwards.
The physical fitness test, known as the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), requires male candidates to complete 1.6 kilometres in 7 minutes and female candidates to complete the same distance in 8 minutes.
