The Giubileo dei Giovani is an exciting event taking place in Rome from July 28 to August 3, 2025, bringing together young people from all campuses of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Milan, Piacenza, Cremona, Brescia, and Rome) to participate in the Jubilee celebrations led by Pope Francis.

For students of the Università Cattolica, especially those at the Rome campus, the event promises a week of intensive activities coordinated by Monsignor Claudio Giuliodori and the pastoral assistants. These activities include prayer, faith encounters, and service initiatives.

On July 28, a special program at the Policlinico Gemelli hospital will take place. Students will have the opportunity to meet various university community members and learn about service and volunteer opportunities through projects of the Campus Solidale volunteer network. Some of the projects to be presented include "Personale e Studenti per il Pronto Soccorso" (staff and students for emergency services), the Centro Nemo “Armida Barelli”, pediatric oncology wards, and Gemelli ART. The day will conclude with time at the Villetta della Misericordia, a shelter for homeless people, emphasizing charitable care and solidarity.

The overall Jubilee program includes major communal events like a welcome celebration on July 29, communal confessions on August 1, a large vigil on August 2, and the concluding Mass with the Pope on August 3.

On Wednesday, July 30, there will be a visit to Santa Maria in Vallicella, where the evening vigil will be dedicated to Pier Giorgio Frassati, a significant figure who will be canonized on September 7.

The event's aim is to confirm and strengthen the University's commitment to young people, as suggested by Pope Francis. The Italian Catholic University has organized a significant student participation in the event due to the Church's focus on young people.

The Vigil and Mass on the Tor Vergata plain on August 2 and 3 will be presided over by Pope Leo XIV. The event's schedule includes a visit to Santa Maria in Vallicella on July 30, where the evening vigil will be dedicated to Pier Giorgio Frassati. The event will feature a dense program of meetings and activities.
