Unified State Exam in Mathematics Commences Today

The Unified State Exam (USE), a significant examination in Russia's education system, will take place today, May 27. This mandatory exam is divided into two levels: basic and advanced.

According to the relevant department, approximately 5671 individuals are due to participate in this year's USE, with the majority being current graduates (5225). The remaining participants are students from technical schools, colleges, and former graduates (446).

This year, the option to report any exam violations through the Government Services website's feedback platform has been introduced. QR codes are available at the exam centers for this purpose. The Federal Service for Supervision in Education will handle any issues reported. Moreover, over 200 representatives from the parent community have been accredited as observers.

The USE plays a pivotal role in determining university admissions, as it assesses students' knowledge across various subjects, including mathematics. University rankings, such as those reported by Forbes for Russian universities[1], demonstrate the importance of these exam scores.

Despite not having specific statistics for the 2021 exam, the USE typically involves a large number of students completing their secondary education. For more detailed information, official Russian education statistics or announcements would be the most reliable sources.

Engaging in education-and-self-development becomes crucial during the Unified State Exam (USE), as learning is key to excelling in this significant exam. Participants in the USE can range from current high school graduates to students from technical schools, colleges, and even former graduates, all aiming to advance their education.
