Film Academy Expands Globally with Newest Branch in Kazakhstan
🌏 Kazakhstan's creativity scene just got a major boost with the New York Film Academy (NYFA) setting up shop! 🎥🎬
Now, Kazakhstan is home to the third NYFA campus outside the US, making it the first world-class creative university in the country. A historic online signing ceremony took place on March 1, with Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek and NYFA President Michael Young in attendance.
The inaugural academic year will commence on Sept. 29 at the Energo University Creative Industries Park in Kaskelen near Almaty. It's estimated that around 200 students from Kazakhstan and neighboring countries such as China, India, and Russia will enroll.
The program will span across five disciplines, including filmmaking, producing, screenwriting, animation and visual effects (3D animation & VFX), and game development (game design). These courses will be taught by NYFA instructors directly from the U.S., ensuring top-notch instruction.
Graduates will walk away with an American university diploma, opening doors to continued studies in the artistic epicenters of New York or Los Angeles. The courses completed in Kazakhstan will be taken into account when preparing for further education.
