Fresh Take:Middle Special and Professional-Technical Education Admission Deadlines Announced by the Ministry of Education*

Get ready to kickstart your career in various exciting fields as the Ministry of Education has revealed the deadlines for document submissions! From designing sound environments to crafting delicious marmalades, here's what you need to know.

This year, a renovated list of specialties is on offer, which includes fresh qualifications such as sound environment design and marmalade-paste confectionery production. Technically inclined applicants can also find their niche, as there are various technical specialties available.

The main application season for all specialties is expected to wrap up by mid-August.

Vocational School Admissions

Mark your calendars! From July 18 to August 17, you can apply for admission to vocational schools. Budget place applications can be submitted from July 18 to August 1, while paid place applications need to be submitted by August 12. The overall application process will conclude on August 17.

PTU Admissions

A total of 160 institutions are preparing to enroll 28,000 applicants for professional-technical education. Among them, 5,500 places are reserved for targeted training—that’s 1,300 more than last year.

Documents can be submitted from June 15 to August 23.

Most of the places are allocated for engineering, processing, construction, agriculture, forestry, and veterinary medicine specialties.

New Specialties and Qualifications

This year, you can pursue your dreams in five new specialties:

  • Transport vehicle body repair
  • Technical operation of multimedia systems
  • Educational work
  • Sound environment design
  • Digital device software and technical support

New professional qualifications will also debut in the country, such as the alluring marmalade-paste confectionery production specialist.

As for other skilled professionals that Belarusian businesses require, keep an eye out for:

  • Operator of an automatic line for ceramic product production
  • Sanitary-construction products caster
  • Escalator maintenance and repair electrician
  • Outdoor gas pipeline maintenance and repair fitter

Admissions to professional-technical and middle special education will take place in four modes: full-time day, full-time evening, part-time, and distance learning.

Evening education is typically offered for some medical specialties. Meanwhile, distance learning often suits IT-related specialties, with at least 40% of classes offered online.

While we strive to keep you informed, it's essential to consult the Ministry of Education of Belarus or Belarusian official educational portals for the most current and detailed information on new specialties and qualifications introduced for professional-technical and middle special education in Belarus. Some sources suggest there may not be significant updates reported widely in international or independent outlets. Happy learning!
