Exploring the Evolution of Masculinity: A Look Ahead at The Art of Manliness

After a decade of providing insightful and practical content, The Art of Manliness podcast is making a significant change. Starting this year, the podcast will return to publishing one episode a week, ensuring that each episode remains meaningful and valuable.

This decision is driven by a desire to maintain a high standard of guest selection and to provide a consistent, manageable release schedule. The hosts, who have read over a thousand books and recorded over a thousand episodes, are committed to continuing this tradition of excellence.

Alongside this, the hosts are launching a new Substack called Dying Breed. This platform will serve as an additional outlet for content, allowing them to explore themes not covered in the podcast or to engage listeners/readers in a different, possibly more direct or written format.

Dying Breed is intended for both men and women, and will provide a more focused and less fragmented reading experience. The articles on this Substack will discuss topics that don't get talked about as often as they deserve, aimed at an audience that appreciates and is interested in ideas and values that can seem increasingly rare.

The name and logo for Dying Breed were inspired by the Killers' song "Dying Breed". This phrase encapsulates how the hosts operate in their personal and professional lives, always striving to stand out and make a difference.

Subscribing to Dying Breed will give you weekly long-form articles, Sunday Firesides (a popular feature of The Art of Manliness that will return in 2025, exclusively on the Dying Breed Substack), community discussion, and a focused, ad-free reading experience. The subscription cost is $5/month or $50/year.

The Art of Manliness will continue to be free, with at least one article and one podcast episode published each week, along with the ever-popular Odds & Ends each Friday and the classic illustrated guides.

With Dying Breed, the hosts of The Art of Manliness are looking forward to delving deeper into topics that matter, exploring new ideas, and engaging with their audience in a more intimate and sustained manner. Stay tuned for more updates!
