Exploration Walkthrough: Exhibition Tour within Hohenlimburg's Old Synagogue via VHS Course

On Saturday, September 27, the Hagen's Adult Education Center is hosting a guided tour of the permanent exhibition 'Living Judaism' at the Old Synagogue Hohenlimburg, located at Jahnstraße 46, Hagen. The tour, which will take place from 10:30 to 12:00, will be expertly led by Rudolf Damm.

Rudolf Damm, a former high school teacher for German, History, and Religion, is a board member of the Society for Christian-Jewish Cooperation Hagen and Surroundings e. V. and was the former chairman of the Hagen Stolpersteine e. V. His extensive knowledge and passion for Judaism make him an ideal guide for this tour.

The tour will provide an overview of various ritual objects and Jewish holidays, with the Torah scroll serving as the centrepiece of the exhibition. Visitors will have the opportunity to see circumcision tools, prayer shawls, phylacteries, a Jewish wedding ring and contracts, and various objects related to the holidays. Supplementary texts, photos, and drawings will complement the exhibits, offering a comprehensive and engaging experience.
