Exhibition 'Never Forget, Someone Works Here' Highlights Rising Violence Against Public Sector Employees in Baden-Württemberg

An exhibition titled 'Never Forget, Someone Works Here' opened in Stuttgart on October 1, 2025, highlighting the alarming rise in violence against public sector employees in Baden-Württemberg. Initiated by the German Trade Union Confederation (DGB) and its eight member unions, the exhibition runs until October 23, 2025.

In 2024, over 14,000 attacks on police officers, around 300 on firefighters and rescue workers, and over 1,600 acts of violence against other public sector employees were reported in the region. The exhibition, featuring 32 motifs, showcases the experiences of these employees who have been victims of assaults. Deputy Minister-President and Minister of the Interior Thomas Strobl inaugurated the exhibition.

The DGB, which organized the exhibition, aims to raise awareness about the increasing violence faced by public sector workers. The exhibition serves as a reminder that behind the statistics are real people, dedicated to serving the community.
