Euskirchen Kindergarten Unveils Sensory Outdoor Area for Nature Learning
Euskirchen's Mitbachaue kindergarten, a certified national park kindergarten, has revealed a revamped outdoor area. This nature-focused space aims to provide sensory experiences for young children, with support from local officials and a citizens' foundation.
The new outdoor area, designed for sensory nature experiences, allows children to climb, splash, build, and explore nature. It features unique elements such as willow tipis, a watercourse, and habitats for local wildlife. The 'Wir für euch' citizens' foundation donated over 500 euros to help bring this project to life.
Alfred Jaax, the first deputy mayor of Euskirchen and a board member of the foundation, endorses the kindergarten's nature-focused approach. Despite scarce information on the kindergarten's age or the timeline of the outdoor area's reconception, the local community has shown strong support for this initiative.
The Mitbachaue kindergarten's new outdoor area, funded by the 'Wir für euch' foundation and supported by local officials, offers children a unique opportunity to connect with nature. This sensory-focused space is poised to enhance the kindergarten's national park certification and provide lasting benefits for the children of Euskirchen.
