Entrepreneur Dorothea Haller-Laible Honored With Kazakh Order of Dostyk
Dorothea Haller-Laible, a prominent logistics entrepreneur and Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in Germany, has been awarded the Order of Dostyk (Friendship) of the 1st class by the Kazakh government. Known affectionately as 'our Dorothea' by the Kazakhs, she received the award for her outstanding contribution to Kazakh-German relations.
Haller-Laible, who founded Haller KG in 1969 and grew it into an internationally active company with 120 employees, has held various leadership positions. She headed the state organization of the Association of German Entrepreneurs and served as a commercial judge at the Regional Court of Stuttgart. Her commitment to Kazakh-German relations includes organizing events like Kazakhstan Economic Days and delegation trips. She has been the Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in Germany for the past 20 years.
The award was presented at a ceremony in Stuttgart, attended by representatives from the state government, the diplomatic corps, the economy, and numerous friends. Ambassador Kairat Sarybaj introduced each Kazakh folk instrument played by the ensemble 'Orda' from Burabai. The ensemble held a concert in her honor, featuring traditional Kui, folk songs, and contemporary Kazakh compositions.
Dorothea Haller-Laible's dedication to fostering Kazakh-German relations has been recognized with the prestigious Order of Dostyk. Her success as a logistics entrepreneur and her leadership roles have made her a significant figure in both German business and Kazakh-German relations.
