Princeton University is on the hunt for student blog correspondents to join its research community blog. If you have a passion for research and a knack for writing, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

The blog, written by students with an interest in research, covers a wide range of topics from beginner research experiences to favourite courses at Princeton. The blog team welcomes correspondents from all academic backgrounds, including but not limited to COS BSE, SPIA, and Art History.

To be considered for the role, there are a few key qualifications to meet. First and foremost, you'll need strong writing skills, with a proficiency in engaging articles, especially about research or academic topics. You should also have a good understanding of the research community and its focus areas. Excellent communication skills, the ability to convey complex ideas simply and concisely, and the ability to conduct research and gather information for articles are also essential.

The application process is straightforward. You'll need to prepare a resume highlighting your writing and research experience, a cover letter explaining your interest in the role and relevant skills, and a sample post of 400-700 words. Check for job postings on Princeton University's website or relevant job boards and submit your application through their portal. Be prepared for an interview to discuss your qualifications and writing style.

It's worth noting that while extensive research experience is not a requirement to be a blog correspondent, writing seminar experience is considered research experience. The priority application deadline for the blog Correspondent position is March 24th, 2023.

Currently enrolled Princeton undergraduates can apply for the role through Student Employment with the job title "our blog Correspondent 2023-2024" and ID 7326.
