EDB Launches 'The Emirates: Startup Capital of the World' Campaign to Boost Entrepreneurship

Emirates Development Bank (EDB) has launched 'The Emirates: Startup Capital of the World' campaign to boost entrepreneurship across the UAE. The initiative offers financing solutions and support for startups and small and medium enterprises (SMEs), with a focus on empowering Emirati youth ventures.

The campaign provides founders with faster access to financing through EDB's digital platform, EDB 360. This platform enables entrepreneurs to open business accounts in minutes and apply for financing without traditional collateral barriers. Additionally, the campaign offers digital onboarding tools, mentorship programmes, and accelerator pathways.

EDB has partnered with various national programmes to provide entrepreneurs with comprehensive support. These include AgriX, MIITE, and MBRIF, which offer access to accelerators, mentoring, and other non-financial assistance. Through these partnerships, entrepreneurs on the EDB 360 platform can connect with support networks to help found and grow their companies.

The 'The Emirates: Startup Capital of the World' campaign aims to stimulate innovation and contribute to the diversification of the UAE's national economy.
