EAEU Skills Championship Victors Hail from Sverdlovsk University Students
Russian Students Triumph in Multi-Nation Skills Competition
Students from Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia, were part of the winning team at the open championship of professional skills among partner countries of the EAEU+. The competition, known as the VI Republican Professional Skills Competition ProfSkills Belarus, was held within the framework of the event.
A total of 49 different skills were contested, ranging from production and information technologies to social services, fashion, and design. The participants hailed from various fields, including colleges, universities, and young workers.
Alexei Rechkin, a student at the Ekaterinburg College of Transport Construction, secured the first place in the "Laboratory Chemical Analysis" skill. His victory came after demonstrating exceptional ability in controlling the quality of natural and industrial materials using chemical and physical-chemical analysis methods.
Meanwhile, Alena Bykova, a student at the Sverdlovsk Technical College of Design and Service, emerged victorious in the "Fashion Technologies" category. She excelled in creating sewn products using given instructions, sketches, patterns, materials, and accessories.
Svetlana Trenchina, the Minister of Education for Sverdlovsk Oblast, expressed pride in her fellow countrymen's achievements. She emphasized that such events are instrumental in enhancing qualifications and career development, allowing participants to exhibit their skills while gaining new knowledge and experience from colleagues and experts.
Besides participants from Russia and Belarus, representatives from Azerbaijan, Zimbabwe, Kazakhstan, China, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan also took part in the championship.
The success of the students is attributed to their dedication and discipline, having honed their skills for years. They previously made their mark at the Russian Professional Mastery Championship 'Professionals' and eagerly joined the international competition following their encounter with Belarusian young professionals.
The VI Republican Professional Skills Competition ProfSkills Belarus 2025 attracted over 400 talented participants from Belarus and other countries, with support from the Ministry of Education and the Republican Institute of Vocational Education. The event showcased a wide range of competencies, focusing on vocational and professional skills, and provided winners with monetary prizes, medals, and diplomas, as well as educational opportunities.
Education-and-self-development, personal-growth, and learning were key aspects highlighted in the VI Republican Professional Skills Competition ProfSkills Belarus.
