CSIRO's Data61 Launches Free 10-Week Program to Boost SMEs in Cyber Security and Digital Tech
CSIRO's Data61 is launching a free, 10-week online program, Innovate to Grow, starting on 8 June. This initiative, funded by the Australian Government, supports 20-25 small to medium enterprises (SMEs) in enhancing their cyber security and digital technologies offerings. Applications close on 15 May.
Eligible SMEs can apply if they're working directly in cyber security or digital technologies, or in adjacent industries. The program aims to help businesses build solutions to emerging cyber and digital tech challenges. Participants gain access to national research expertise and receive dollar-matched R&D funding.
Dr Liming Zhu, CSIRO's Data61 Research Director, warns of increased cyber risks and digital trust issues due to rapid generative AI developments. He highlights the transformative potential of large language models like ChatGPT in digital and cyber innovation. Dr Tim Rapley leads the program as CSIRO's Data61 Research Director for Software and Computational Systems. Michelle Armistead, the program's coordinator, encourages Australian SMEs to participate for valuable connections and learning opportunities.
The Innovate to Grow program, commencing on 8 June, offers SMEs a chance to grow in cyber security and digital technologies. With continued support, including access to expertise and funding, businesses can improve their offerings and tackle emerging challenges. Don't miss the application deadline on 15 May.
