The Evangelical Primary School Sömmerda is gearing up for an enriching and engaging school year, starting in September 2025. With a consistent teaching staff and proven structures in place, the school is confident and joyful about the upcoming academic year.

The educational focus for the school year will be on individual support and challenge, inclusive learning, and social interaction. The school aims to create an environment where all children, regardless of their prerequisites, feel accepted, supported, and encouraged.

The school year will feature an extensive programme, including seasonal celebrations, project weeks on educational topics, and cultural events. A major highlight of the school year will be the Kinderolympiade, or Children’s Olympics, a series of athletic competitions tailored for primary school children.

Besides the Kinderolympiade, other anticipated events include a nativity play before the Christmas holidays and a Christmas market in November. On August 9, at 10 am, a service will be held at the Bonifatiuskirche to celebrate the enrollment of 18 new first-graders.

The school will consist of five teachers, one trainee teacher, four educators, and two special needs educators, ensuring each student receives the individual attention they need.
