Apple Music Experiencing Outages for users globally

Got your groove on, but your iPhone's goin' stone cold? You're not the only one. Apple Music's refuse to play ball, and Apple's own System Status website confesses it's down.

As of now, the website explains the following about Apple Music:

Apple Music - Down for the Count

Started: March 19, 2025, 2:26 PM - Ongoing

Affecting some users

Symptoms: Users may face intermittent hiccups with the service.

Meanwhile, every other Apple service, like the App Store, FaceTime, iMessage, and iCloud services, are working fine.

I first got wind of this tune-down, thanks to the eagle-eyed Chance Miller from 9to5Mac. Neither Miller nor I are experiencing any issues with Apple Music. Quite the opposite, honestly! I'm currently bobbing my head to my Lo-Fi Breeze playlist, as I type this beat. I've tested it across both my iPhone and Mac, ensuring I stream and not play downloaded tracks, and I've faced no issues, whatsoever.

It's unclear how many users are facing the Apple Music outage, but if you're having trouble while jamming this afternoon, know you ain't alone. The folks at Apple'll hopefully crank out a fix for whatever's causing the outage real soon, so hold tight, my media-hungry friend.

In the meantime, with Apple Music on the fritz, why not give YouTube a spin? Stream a playlist or two, I reckon you'll dig it.

Ain't Got Apps? Explore the Competition

If Apple Music continues giving you the cold shoulder or you just fancy some new tunes, check out some alternative streaming platforms:

  • Spotify: A well-known name in the music world, with a massive music catalog and personalized playlists.
  • YouTube Music: Featuring a plethora of music content, such as official tracks, covers, and live performances.
  • Amazon Music: Offers various subscription plans, including Prime Music for Prime members and Amazon Music Unlimited for the full monty.
  • Tidal: Focusing on high-quality audio and exclusives from the music industry's biggest names.
  • Google Play Music: Although disappearing to make way for YouTube Music, it still boasts a rich streaming experience for existing users.

Why settle for one rhythm when many await, huh? Try 'em all, find your beats, and let the music never stop.

  1. The current issue with Apple Music, as confirmed by the tech giant's System Status website, is a widespread outage, making it impossible for some users to access their playlists.

  3. In light of the Apple Music outage, it's definitely worth considering alternative streaming platforms like YouTube, Spotify, Amazon Music, Tidal, and Google Play Music to satisfy one's musical cravings until the problem is resolved.
