AltSchool Africa & ByBit Launch 1,000 Scholarships Worth $500,000 for Young Africans
AltSchool Africa, in collaboration with ByBit, has launched an initiative offering 1,000 scholarships to young Africans. The scholarships, worth a total of $500,000, will enable recipients to enroll in AltSchool Africa's Diploma program, covering courses in software engineering, data analytics, and product management.
The scholarship program is a joint effort between AltSchool Africa and ByBit, with the African Leadership Group facilitating the partnership. ByBit's Head of Africa, Joshua Yau, and COO, Helen Liu, expressed their commitment to investing in human capital and demonstrating technology's potential for positive change in Africa.
AltSchool Africa's CEO, Adewale Yusuf, welcomed the partnership, stating it aligns with their mission to equip young Africans with tech skills for a digital future. AltSchool Africa offers diploma programs and short courses across five schools, providing a holistic learning experience that includes mentorship, career counseling, and hands-on project experience.
The scholarship recipients, selected based on scoring at least 85% in AltSchool's entrance assessment and demonstrating commitment to the program, will have the opportunity to develop their skills in software engineering, data analytics, and product management. AltSchool Africa and ByBit aim to empower these young Africans, fostering a new generation of tech professionals ready to drive innovation and growth in Africa.
