Aicher Holzbau Honored for Environmental, Climate Protection Commitment
Aicher Holzbau GmbH, a renowned timber construction company, has been recognised for its exceptional commitment to environmental and climate protection. The Bavarian State Government awarded the company the 'Bavarian Environmental and Climate Pact' for the second time, following its initial recognition in 2011.
The pact, a collaboration between the Bavarian State Government and business associations, aims to motivate companies to adopt voluntary measures for climate protection and share their experiences on an online platform. Aicher Holzbau GmbH, founded in 1983 and now a leading timber construction company, has consistently demonstrated its commitment to sustainability.
Michael Aicher, the managing director, received the certificate of recognition from Bavarian State Minister Tanja Schweiger and Bruno Schleinkofer, second mayor of the market Regenstauf. The company's use of dry wood and wood-based materials ensures solidity, durability, and effective building protection. By doing so, Aicher Holzbau GmbH sets a model for other companies to follow, as encouraged by the pact.
The award, valid for three years, entitles the company to use the official logo 'Bavarian Environmental and Climate Pact'. It joins other notable recipients such as the construction company Raab, Hetzel brewery, and Baur Versand, all recognised for their outstanding environmental and climate protection efforts. Aicher Holzbau GmbH continues to create model projects for environmental and climate protection through its timber constructions.
