Recently, a survey of 900 researchers, primarily in the environmental sciences, emphasized the importance of addressing language barriers and providing fair opportunities in research and academia. The findings revealed that non-native English speakers took twice as long to write a paper compared to native speakers, and the frequency of paper rejections due to language-related issues was 2.6 times higher. Consequently, opportunities such as conference invitations and top-position acceptance rates were lower for non-native speakers. The challenge is not isolated to non-native speakers, with AI writing tools being inefficient in understanding academic writing conventions and frequently falling short in translating foreign text into academic English without losing context.

We interviewed participants from our recent product demo – "How to Use Our Platform’s AI Academic Editing to Write and Edit Like a Pro" – and discovered the primary reasons they turned to AI academic editing tools. 19.37% of users admitted they lacked confidence in writing English as a non-native speaker, and 18.92% were comfortable in English but sought academically correct language.

Additionally, the platform offers language consistency checks, collaborative editing tools, and manuscript preparation features for journal submission.
