A notification has been issued for 3500 Nurse Officer positions under AIIMS NORCET in 2025, with the application process now open and accessible.

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has announced the detailed eligibility criteria for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET)-9, scheduled for 2025. The recruitment drive aims to fill 3500 vacancies for the post of Nursing Officer across various AIIMS locations, including AIIMS New Delhi, AIIMS Bhopal, AIIMS Guwahati, and AIIMS Patna.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in nursing from an Indian Nursing Council (INC) or State Nursing Council recognized Institute/University. This includes B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing, B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. (Post-Certificate), or Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing.

Alternatively, candidates with a Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) are also eligible, provided they are registered as a nurse and midwife with the State/Indian Nursing Council. Candidates with a Diploma in GNM must also have a minimum of two years of experience in a 50-bedded hospital after obtaining their educational qualification.

Age Limit

The minimum age for applicants is 18 years, and the maximum age is 30 years as of 11/08/2025. However, age relaxation is applicable for certain categories:

  • SC/ST candidates: 5 years
  • OBC candidates: 3 years
  • Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD): 10 years
  • PwBD + OBC: 13 years
  • PwBD + SC/ST: 15 years
  • Ex-Serviceman and Commissioned Officers (including ECO/SSCOs): 5 years

Application Process

The online application link for NORCET-9 is available at www.aiimsexams.ac.in. The deadline for submitting the online application is August 11, 2025. The application process is entirely online, and candidates are required to register, provide details, submit the application form, and pay the necessary fee on the official website (https://www.aiimsexams.ac.in/).

The AIIMS NORCET-9 Recruitment is a two-stage selection process consisting of a Preliminary exam followed by Mains exam. The Prelims exam is scheduled for September 14, 2025, and the Mains exam for September 27, 2025.
