A new educational institution has emerged in Atamanovka
The small town of Atamanovka welcomed a new addition to its educational landscape on September 1, 2025, with the opening of its state-of-the-art school. This new institution, designed with the comfort of all in mind – teachers, students, and parents – has been a long time in the making, following a challenging path.
The school, nestled in the heart of Atamanovka, boasts spacious gyms, divided into zones for volleyball and basketball, providing ample space for physical activities. The first to third grades continue to occupy the old building, while classes for fourth grade and above have now moved to the new, three-story structure.
The school project is based on the successful model of a five-year-old school in Nizhneudinsk, Irkutsk region. Alexander Lomakin, the director of "Good City" LLC, which oversaw the construction, considers the building of the school under the challenging conditions of Zabaykalsky Krai a real feat.
The school staff consists of over 70 teachers, all of whom have been fully recruited. Technology teacher Karim Salayev expressed that the new equipment has sparked students' interest in learning, while physics teacher Tatiana Kalinina highlighted that modern equipment helps better prepare for exams by using interactive models and diagrams.
The new school, accommodating almost 900 students – initially planned for 560 – boasts spacious classrooms with relaxation zones for student comfort. Each subject has a separate space with workstations, ensuring an optimal learning environment.
Both children and teachers are satisfied with the new school. The old building lacked the variety of tools and machines for practical lessons that the new school has, making the transition a welcome change.
However, the task remains to attract technical personnel to maintain the large school building. The school's name board chairman, whose identity remains undisclosed, is committed to ensuring the school continues to thrive and provide the best possible education for the students of Atamanovka.
