100 Kids Learn Online Safety at Yekaterinburg Event
A hundred children attended an educational event at the 'B-6' youth center of the 'Socium' Center for Out-of-School Work in Yekaterinburg. The event, organized by the anti-terrorist commission in Sverdlovsk Oblast, focused on teaching youngsters about online safety and fraud prevention.
The speaker, who chose to remain unidentified, covered crucial topics such as protecting personal data, avoiding scams, recognizing deepfakes, and adhering to anti-extremist legislation. The children were also introduced to the Max platform and its purpose.
Experts believe such events foster a conscious approach to the virtual space among young people, promoting digital behavior culture. This aligns with the interdepartmental commission's earlier discussions on preventing radicalism and extremism in the youth environment.
The event, which attracted around a hundred participants, was reported on the Telegram channel of the anti-terrorist commission in Sverdlovsk Oblast. It aimed to equip children with the knowledge needed to navigate online dangers and protect themselves from scams.
